Lake Carl Blackwell Fall 2022

Me and my husband are going camping this weekend at Lake Carl Blackwell. We are staying from the 19-22nd. We have camped here 2x but only have gotten to ride here once.

The last time we camped here, it rained all but one day of our trip and then when we did get a break in the rain, I went to get on my horse to find out she was sore and was due for a Chiro appointment- so unfortunately we did not ride.

This year I’m hoping to be able to get to ride the whole trip and hopefully the weather doesn’t decide to literally rain on our parade 😂

We plan to ride either orange or yellow day one, then ride blue and pink on the other 2 days and then ride whatever shorter trail that we didn’t ride the first day on the last day.

We got to ride 11 miles of the 18 of the white trail on our first trip we camped here but us and the horses were extra tired starting out that day so by the time we made it back to the road that leads into the park, we said we were done rode the road back to camp. 2 ish miles we didn’t get to see due to a very sketchy bridge to cross over at the spillway that the horses didn’t want to cross and honestly I don’t really blame them lol
