So we know I have pissed of some of the OETRA, and I have tried...to apologize for... well its really their actions but whatever.. and I got no where with that but to end it all- I am done messing with them. The over all meaning of OETRA is a great club... but each club has its own clicks inside of it and this click, as done jammed up. The "hate" some people think I have, they think is directed to OETRA as a whole, when it isn't and the people who cause my hatred know who they are. I wont go into a long post with explaining for the millionth time what my blog means- yall already know this... so the choice is yours to believe it or to not... and to each their own and blah blah blah...
My plan now, is since it is getting hotter and more muggy, I refuse to ride much during the summer rather that is at a place or at home to an extent, much less a place grown up like the amazon.
I was told by the President, that because of my "behavior" that i will not be added back to the sportsmans lake trail rider page, But that i can still help with clearing the trails... Funny.
So with that said, I will not be risking myself getting tick diseases to accompany them in their needs since they bashed me so much in the truth i posted about the trail conditions and what I had done to try and help that in the past.
I will be giving them the spring and summer to get sportsmans in order as they claim to be doing, however in the last 7 months, nothing has been done but a few signs that were put up less than 3 miles from camp.
If trail conditions have not improved by the fall, I will be planning a 3 day trip out there and camp and do the trimming that is needed. I will probably do majority of it on foot then the further places do by horse just to be able to get out there faster than hiking will get me.
I will start from camp and trim from there to quicksand creek on foot on both the 1,2,1a and cliff trail. From Quicksand to Beavers Dam on 1 and 2 need trimmed up pretty bad as well. After that the other bad spots that need it the most that is on the camp side of SBC would be 2, 2c, 2b, duck point loop. Trail 2A and 1C typically are fine because it is more of a wider open area that these trails go through, CW starts out like 2a and 1C but then crossing 1c where it takes you back to the flats it grows up pretty bad. 2B is super grown up and mis marked, if it wasn't for my horse able to feel the trail, probably would lose the trail pretty easy if a newby.
The Switchbacks stay decent as well, May have a little bit of low hangers to dodge but all it all it stays moderately bare due to the higher rock profile of terrain. Anything past SBC needs trimmed despartley.
There will be before and after pics posted to my facebook page. The 3 day trip will be put towards all of that and we will see how far I get. The first day will be hitting the front half on foot and then the next day and a half will be by horse to get out to the big spots and then by foot when we find a good place to tie them up. It probably wont get it all, just depends how much if any that the TA's do, but I will be doing my damnedest. I love sportsmans too much to not get to ride.
Happy Trails!
