  • 58076 Billy Creek Rd, Muse OK

  • Rocky Terrain

  • 100+ miles to ride

    • Rocky terrain with water crossings and lots of hills

      • Personal experience, my husband and I visited for the first time fall of 2021. We rode the Black trail and the Red trail which were trails Billy Spring and The Flats.

        • Billy Spring is a 13 mile ride but you can take white and make it an 11 mile ride. Lots of hills and a few water crossings. Some places you can trot and lope

        • The Flats is by far my favorite (so far) the trails while rocky in places are still clear enough to be able to long trot and lope quite a while. Our mares loved it!

  • You probably could day ride here if you parked in the overflow... but lets face it... once you see this place you won't want to leave!! So camping is highly recommended!!

  • Book your site here! https://www.heavensgaterv.com/
    • No picket lines are allowed due to no trees to tie to

    • Single toilet and shower but the shower has instant HOT WATER.

    • No LQ no problem, she has campers you can rent!

      • You can also rent out the ranch house!

    • No personal dumpster, so you have to go back out to hwy 63 and go EAST for 3 miles. Dumpster is on the side of the road.

    • Rock firepits at each site.

    • Round pen to turn your horses out in while either cleaning stalls or for a quick warm up on those cold backed horses!

    • BIG RIG FRIENDLY!!!

  • Each site comes standard with 2 pens with the exception of the deluxe site #8 with 3 pens.

  • ATV trails throughout the horse trails- doubles has a triple fun experience, leave the horses at camp for a day and go ride some ATV's (BYO)

D’Anna and Colin are the BEST!! I have only been here once, fall of 2021, and our trip wasn’t the because of the weather, but for the days we did get to actually enjoy it, I cannot wait until I get go back. After an eventful night with a big storm and no sleep, we rode the black trail and it was a 5 hour ride on 2 hours of sleep lol so needless to say we were ready to get back to camp and crash. The next day and unfortunately our last day there, we rode the red trail and it was a very fun trail. We rode the whole thing in about 2 hours and were able to long trot and lope the trails. The girls (our mares) really enjoyed getting out and stretching their legs. 10000 our of 10 HIGHLY recommend visiting Heaven’s Gate!!

9/25/24- I camped here in a couple of other times since I last posted my review so I thought Id add a little bit more stories from my experiences! We camped here Spring 2023 and we had a decent trip, this has nothing to do with Heaven's gate as a camp lol but the weather hates me!! We got caught in a Thunderstorm, lighting, thunder, sideways blowing rain... lol all of it then the second to last day I ended up freaking pulling my back out somehow and we had to call it a short trip because I couldnt walk much less ride or even crawl into the nose of my trailer to sleep. My Aunt's gelding decided he was going to turn his little 14h self into a hunter jumper and jump the panels in the stall and bend/break the wood fence that was behind it all because he got "left" at camp lol... the real funny part was when we were riding back the next day after that rain, we took pink where it runs along D'annas fence line and crosses those deep creeks, well my Aunt Gails horse decided she was gonna jump that sucker and Aunt Gail caught so much air LOL I bought fell off from laughing so hard because while her horse doesn't like the water, she was getting better at crossing it especially the larger creeks and so we didn't think much of this one but it was muddy from the rain fall and she couldnt see bottom and so she was not getting her feet wet LOOL

The trails were great, however, we did come across these assholes shooting guns off into the blue hole.... and that it is not allowed... it was not hunting season and that is not a shooting range!! Not to mention they were not even caring that we were horseback and being super disrespectful along with prior to that incident, they also bought ran us over because we had lunch at the blue hole and when we were leaving they came flying around the corner and across the bridge and weren't paying any attention to the fact that I was standing in the middle of the bridge too... So we for sure ended up throwing some cuss words out... and I came close to getting off my horse and throwing a couple of them off into the blue hole... lets just say that much. We did turn that into D'Anna too so she could tell the ranger. Idk if they were ever caught though. They had their kids there too and those heathens were shooting air soft guns off into the trees towards the trails well aware we were there because they were yelling "horses horses!"

Our next trip was this last spring in 2024 and it was our best trip yet, We had great weather the whole time, we got to ride every day and we rode several different trails. We always start out on red for a good little day 1 ride because it is a short loop and one you can lope and trot on for a little while and then we rode, blue, orange and then the last day we created our own "everything" loop that ended up being some of yellow, black, white, purple, and pink and rode about 40 miles that weekend. They have hired a new camp host and she doubles as camp cook as well, Brigitte Schoofs.
