Idle Nook AR bound!

I am SO HAPPY to announce that Buckskin Trail Blogs will be getting to adventure out of Oklahoma this fall and get to explore the great Idle Nook!!

Idle Nook is in the wonderful Ozarks of Oklahoma/Arkansas- Just right over the OK-AR border in Boles AR, only an hour from Cedar Lake and Heaven's Gate - this place as about the same to offer but a few extra options to enjoy!

Idle Nook is hosted by Jack and Mitzie Stevens. They bought the property to camp on and installed 22 spots and covered pens for the horses. This place is Big Rig friendly as well! For those without a LQ, they offer, 1 Bunkhouse with a 2 twin beds and 1 bunkhouse with a queen size, loveseat and bathroom. They have a fully enclosed pavilion that has a full kitchen/bathroom and showers. Idle Nook has OVER 130 miles of Trails!!!! WOW!!! You can ride for a week straight and still not see it all!! The trails that Jack and Mitzie have created are marked with ribbons while the Fourche Mountain trails are marked with yellow rectangles. These trails consist of as you would expect from the Ozarks- Waterfalls, water crossings, scenic views, beautiful rock formations and abandoned silver mines. Rides can last from a short hour to all day! Maps are provided once you arrive- I however do plan to make a digital copy of it once i receive it. They email a link invite through Gaia gps app for the map.

With all of this to offer and more- you would think oh wow... must be a shiny penny to stay... NOPE!! Their rates are very affordable!

$25 a night + stall (stall rates are $5/horse/night)

$6 Day parking

$16 a night + stall for primitive camping

$35 a night + stall for 1 person bunkhouse

$40 a night + stall for 2 person bunkhouse ($6 a person for extra ppl)

$55 a night for The Nook + stall ($6 a person for extra ppl)

YOU MUST FURNISH YOUR TOWELS AND LINENS FOR BUNKHOUSES AND THE NOOK

April, May, September and October a NON REFUNDABLE deposit is needed. Deposit amount is the amount of your first nights stay. If you notify them 30 days prior to your trip for cancellation the deposit can be rolled over for your next stay. To reserve you have to contact them- They don't have a website to book through.

I already have a page setup on here under the Arkansas tab but I will get a personal experience review this fall! Once i receive the link for the map I will end up making the digital copy to upload to website.
