Happy Fall Ya'll!!

The Oklahoma Fall weather is slowly but surely making its approach and I could not be any happier with it! This is my favorite time of year to trail ride! The nice cooler weather but not freezing- the normal lack of rain during this season vs rainy spring, and THE FOLIAGE!! I love going to the "Pretty Places" with all of the good views, but it looks like this year, me and my husband will be staying local.

We finally got our horse trailer 'liveable" for camping and it is so much nicer having a place to put the extra things vs cramming it all into the tack compartment of the little 2 horse trailer I used to have. Now everything has a place!

My husband, my friend Dawn and I all camped at Prague Lake the first week of October and had a good time. I've never camped here due to it being so close to home we just ride there all the time, but it was a very nice trip and was good to get out of the time.

Our next trip was going to be at the end of the month, but we decided instead since we couldn't decide where we wanted to go that was barefoot friendly, that we would take a road trip to arkansas to check out some places to ride. I like going to the campgrounds prior to get any missing information that I am not able to get answers for from social media posts or general websites. I also like finding out the way to get down there, if there are alternative routes that would be more big rig friendly or that too, how easy it is to get a trailer in and out of the camp area and in and out of camp spots and which sites are in fact big rig friendly. To me, the site may be big enough to fit a longer trailer- like a 50' long site, but that there may be trees in the way of making it into the site without risking hitting any of the trees. One day, I may invest in a drone to capture a sky visual of the campgrounds to upload to my website vs going off of google earth satellite view.

The actual next trip that we have planned is to ride at Lake Carl Blackwell in Stillwater- LCB is one of my favorites to ride for barefoot places. Nice big open field for the campground, for sure a big rig friendly place and it is also a good place to rack up some miles. We are taking our big trip here and plan to stay from November 16-19th or 20th. With 50+ miles to ride here, I am hoping to rack up all 50 within the weekend.

I hope everyone that gets to ride at the rocky places has a great time or in general has a great time regardless of where you camp! Tis the Season for awesome trail riding and awesome weather!!

Happy Trails!
